Day #45 - How To Keep Customers In The Store Longer - Part 4 of 14
Part 4 - Good Traffic Flow:
Traffic flow does not happen by accident - wide isles contribute to the way customers travel thru your store and ultimately to the easy of their shopping experience. Take a tape measure out and make sure your minor isles are a minimum of 3 feet wide. Crowded aisles actually cost you sales. Consumers like a selection but not if it means sacrificing comfort while shopping. Be sure your store is designed to allow adequate space between aisles and keep walkways free of merchandise. Cramped spaces can ruin a shopping experience and turn off a customer. Fewer products with less shelving units and wider isles will net you higher sales. You want customers to move deep into your store, staying longer.Barbara
